Las imágenes ganadoras del World Press Photo 2017

Todos los fotoperiodistas del mundo aspiran a que sus fotos sean seleccionadas por el jurado del World Press Photo, el certamen anual de fotografía más prestigioso e importante.

El concurso se divide en las siguientes categorías: Noticias de actualidad, Temas de actualidad, Personajes de actualidad, Deportes y fotografías de acción, Reportajes de deportes, Temas contemporáneos, Vida cotidiana, Retratos Arte y entretenimiento y Naturaleza.

Este año, el ganador en la categoría Noticias de Actualidad retrata uno de los momentos más duros, la muerte a tiros y en directo del embajador ruso Andréi Karlóv.

De la agencia Reuters, Jonathan Bachman ha sido el autor de la fotografía ganadora del primer premio en la categoría Temas contemporáneos. En ella muestra el arresto de la activista Ieshia Evans.

The shooting, captured on cell phone videos, aggravated the unrest that has coursed through the United States for two years over the use of excessive force by police, especially against black men.
